Monday of the Twenty-third Week in Ordinary Time

Saint of the day

Saint Cagnoald (d.635)

Saint Cagnoald began religious life after meeting Saint Columban. The religious path that he chose to take was the life of a monk. Cagnoald's love and devotion to Jesus were shared by many members of his family as well, including his brothers, Saints Faro and Burgundofara. In time, he grew in his religious life, and became the bishop of Laon, France.

Reflection

Saint Cagnoald devoted his life to knowing God. Above all, he wanted to understand and be in close relationship with Jesus. Is one of your utmost desires to be in union with God? How can you more easily grow closer to God?

Prayer

Dear God, please help me to know you fully. Help me to know your will and help me to regularly encounter you in every facet of my life.
