We Are All Hungry

For the bread of God is that which
comes down from heaven and gives
life to the world.
They said to him,
Sir, give us this bread always
John 6:33,34

At different times we need different things to be fully alive. We always need food and the physical nourishment it provides. But we also need spiritual nourishment for fullness of life. We need such things as confidence and courage, comfort and peace, friendship and love. Jesus says to come to him with our needs. He offers us himself as the bread of life in the Eucharist, and he is there with so much more for us when we ask.

What kind of bread do you especially need to be fed with just now? Ask Jesus for that in your prayer tonight.
