Sixty-five field-tested, creative activities complement the Horizons core curriculum and minicourses. Ideas for community-building activities and games, prayer experiences and rituals, liturgical celebrations, and service projects center around six thematic sections. Engage your youth to make Christ's teachings relevant and fun!

The strategies are divided into six thematic sections:

  • Adolescent Issues.
  • Christian Morality.
  • Christian Spirituality.
  • Church and Sacraments.
  • Personal Development.
  • The Scriptures.

Each strategy was developed with a primary connection to one of the Horizons courses, but each also has a number of secondary connections to other courses. A comprehensive index helps the user identify all the strategies that complement specific courses. The strategies stand on their own, and they can be used with any youth ministry or campus ministry program.

As a special feature of this manual, the user is given permission to duplicate or distribute the strategies to other parish or school staff and volunteers. The binder format allows for easy removal of pages for duplication and the addition of other resources.
