Michael Theisen

Michael Theisen is currently director of membership services for the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry. Prior to this, Michael spent 13 years of service as the diocesan coordinator of youth ministry for the Diocese of Rochester, New York, and he ministered for eight years at the parish level in Richmond, Virginia, in various roles, including coordinator of youth ministry, director of religious education, and pastoral social worker. Michael has a master's degree in religious education from Loyola University in New Orleans as well as a master's in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. His background in counseling and religious education and his expertise in developing creative strategies are evident in his contributions to the Horizons Program. Michael has presented around the country at local, regional, diocesan, and national conferences, retreats, and events.
