"Hercules and Cacus" Statue by Bandinelli in Florence, Italy

This white marble statue is in the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy. Baccio Bandinelli sculpted this piece, and it was appropriated by Pope Clement VII around 1523. The Medici Family commissioned the work. Hercules is killing the monster Cacus as a symbol of strength.
