About this image

Palantine Hill is one of seven "Hills of Rome", and it is the most central of all the ancient hills. According to Roman mythology, this was the site of the cave in which Remus and Romulus were found by the wolf who nursed and raised the boys. The Arch of Septimius Severus is in the center of this photo.
