families love it

By WANDA VAN ORTWICK, SCAPPOOSE, OR

We have been using the Seek Find for years now, Catechists love it, parents love it, kids engage willingly and with enthusiasm. I, as director love it. I email the at home parent guide and the video list to parents who can then watch the videos with their child and teach any lesson their child misses, they appreciate this. My Catechist and I and parent who teaches at a local Catholic school took a look at the on-line parts of the program. We probably will not use it, we all three agreed that the At Home Parent Guide is a better option. The first thing I noted was the comment that the child could view the videos independently, I want the parents working with the children.

CCB at the center of lessons, Affordable, easy to use home guides,

I believe it's our 3rd year of using Go, Seek Find. We love the program. We have a parent mtg & go over a home guide then give the parents home guides to do lessons at home. Then we bring in the children for 3 or 4 review sessions. The activities for the lessons are great, we use them at our review sessions & at the parent/child retreat. We love that the CCB is the center of the program & we are getting bibles that are being used into homes. The program is so affordable and we are extremely pleased with using it!

Overall I love the fact that we are getting kids into the Bible.

Sometimes the projects do not really seem age-appropriate. Most times they are good and having choices is nice. I think it would be great to add a reconciliation prep/service to the curriculum too!

Such an advantage

We really are very pleased with the series so far. It certainly is such an advantage during this virtual class time!

It fits well in this current year of unknowns, easily adapts to in person or in home learning.

I am very happy with the program. It fits well in this current year of unknowns, easily adapts to in person or in home learning. It's easy to use and lessens the burdens on the families that want to be safe and stay at home during the pandemic.

It gives me HOPE for our next generation using it.

I truly enjoy teaching our children this bible curriculum. It gives me HOPE for our next generation using it. The best thing: Sending it home to our families and knowing the families are reading the Bible together.

We were fortunate to have a program like Go Seek Find to use during the pandemic

We really enjoyed using Go, Seek, and Find for second-grade sacramental preparation last year. Our longtime catechists approached me prior to the 2019–2020 school year wanting to do something different. We…decided to use the Go, Seek, Find program. The parents and children enjoyed it from the beginning. The map was a hit. The parents commented that they enjoyed the program and the Bible as well. The children completed the Reconciliation section in the fall and celebrated the sacrament. In late January 2020, they began preparation for First Holy Communion. They completed only a few sessions before winter break in February, and then COVID-19 hit. We were not set up for technology, so with little guidance from the faith formation staff, the parents assumed the responsibility of catechizing their children. We mailed home the remaining sessions for the families to complete. Throughout late spring and summer, we kept in touch with the families, offering words of encouragement and sending YouTube videos about receiving the Eucharist. In September, we celebrated the Eucharist with the children and their families at two Masses. The children were well prepared! They were able to answer our priest’s questions and had been taught how to receive Holy Communion properly (even with a mask). We were fortunate to have a program like Go Seek Find to use during the pandemic.

"He wished he could do his First Communion Program all over again"

By Bonnie, MI

The parents in the Sacrament program are raving about that Bible and program. One of the dads stopped me and said he wished he could do his First Communion Program over again and the whole family is having so much fun. One mom told me she never knew how to use the Bible and is so excited to have a Bible she is not afraid of!

By Lisa, MA

By the way, this is the first time in 20 years that the Catholic School in our parish has thanked me for the new Eucharist curriculum! The kids love the bibles, the map, etc. "They can't wait to get started each day," is a quote from the teacher! That is a testament to the quality of this program. Please pass my enthusiastic thank you on to whomever created this curriculum!

Easy to teach + Engaged children

By Jeanne, Michigan

My catechists find this program easy to teach. The children are engaged during the entire lesson and the parents are thrilled that they are learning directly from the Bible.
