Minicourse appropriate for grades eleven and twelve
A major task of young adulthood is the discernment of one's vocation, that is, the lifework and lifestyle that enable a person to fulfill the universal call to holiness. Stewardship: Creating the Future invites older adolescents to reflect on the gifts of time, talent, and treasure entrusted to them by God. Participants hear about traditional lifestyle choices, search the Scriptures for guidance in addressing cultural values, and consider what it means to be both steward and servant in God's Reign. Throughout the course, they grapple with the fundamentals of holiness: remaining open to the movement of the Spirit and to the surprise of God's grace.
