Overview

Minicourse Appropriate for Grades Eleven and Twelve

Catholic social teaching, grounded in the Gospel call to justice, is a rich dimension of the Church's heritage. It compels every believer to work to build God's Reign and to live as if that Reign has already become a reality on earth. That is, as Christians we are called to live out the vision of God's Reign in our actions and attitudes. Justice: Building God's Reign invites young people to envision a just world, helps them articulate a definition of justice, presents Catholic teaching on various social issues, and then gives them the tools to begin changing their world. The course does not focus on a single justice issue but is designed instead to help young people develop the attitudes, skills, and habits that can lead to a lifelong commitment to building the Reign of God.
