Fr. Luke Sweeney

Father Luke Sweeney just finished 6 years as Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of New York where he oversaw the NYPriest.com Campaign - "The World Needs Heroes" and was a board member of the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors. While in the seminary, he received his BA in History and Philosophy from Fordham University in the Bronx and a Bachelors in Sacred Theology from the Jesuit's Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. After completing a License Degree in Sacred Theology from the John Paul II Institute for Studies in Marriage and Family in Rome, Father Sweeney served in Sacred Heart Parish in Newburgh, New York, along the Hudson River. He is now the vice rector at the Cathedral Seminary House of Formation in Queens, NY where he assists college and philosophy seminarians as they discern their own vocations in life and in the Church.
