John T. Ford, CSC, PhD

Fr. John T. Ford, CSC is professor of theology and coordinator of Hispanic/Latino studies at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he received his master's degree in theology from Holy Cross College in Washington and his licentiate and doctorate in theology from the Gregorian University in Rome. His current areas of teaching include 19th-century theology, contemporary ecumenism, and Hispanic theology.

Fr. Ford has served as president of the North American Academy of Ecumenists, as a member of the United Methodist Roman Catholic Dialogue, and as an observer-consultant for the Consultation on Church Union. He is currently a member of the Ecumenism Committee of the Washington Theological Consortium and also a member of the Faith and Order Commission of the National Council of Churches. Among his publications, he is coeditor with Dr. Darlis Swan of Twelve Tales Untold: A Study Guide for Ecumenical Reception.
