Brian Singer-Towns Receives Youth Ministry Award

Brian Singer-Towns has been named the recipient of the National Youth Ministry Award in the Publisher/Author category. The award is sponsored by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM).

The National Catholic Youth Ministry Awards are biennial recognitions of the significant and outstanding contributions made by women and men to the field of Catholic youth ministry. The 2010 National Youth Ministry Awards will be presented on Friday, December 10, during the National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry, which is being held in New Orleans.

Brian Singer-Towns, MThS, joined the editorial staff of Saint Mary’s Press after more than fifteen years in volunteer and professional youth ministry. Brian’s extensive background in theology, youth ministry, and religious education is reflected in his many contributions as author and editor. Brian has written or co-written over a dozen books, including the best-selling Catholic Faith Handbook for Youth and Biblical Literacy Made Easy. His many editorial projects include acting as general editor for The Catholic Youth Bible® and Breakthrough! The Bible for Young Catholics. Brian also leads workshops for leaders around the country on biblical, religious education, and youth ministry topics. He resides in Winona, MN, and serves as senior editor, author, and workshop presenter for Saint Mary’s Press
