God, I would like to pray that joy can overcome sadness. I would like to pray that comfort can eliminate fear. I would like to pray that love can overpower the anger and hatred residing in our hearts. I would like to pray that through all this destruction and misery, we see the light. And, finally, I would like to pray that national unity can overshadow rivalries. Lord, bring us together to realize that sadness, fear, anger, and hatred will only prolong destruction and misery. However, love, comfort, and joy will bring all of us together into the light. Amen.
