Welcome to Living in Christ, a new comprehensive four-year religion curriculum for Catholic high school students. Living in Christ was developed with the needs of both the students and the teachers in mind. The title Living in Christ reflects the ultimate goal of the curriculum: to lead the students to encounter Christ and invite him into their lives. The courses follow the sequence of, and contain the material from, “Doctrinal Elements of a Curriculum Framework for the Development of Catechetical Materials for Young People of High School Age,” by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and have been declared by the USCCB to be in conformity with “The Protocol for Assessing the Conformity of Catechetical Materials with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.” After four years of study using the Living in Christ series, Catholic high school students will understand foundational concepts about the Bible, the person of Jesus Christ, the Paschal Mystery, the Church, the Seven Sacraments, morality, and social justice. They will also have developed skills to enable them to learn more about their faith through Scripture study, reading of theological primary sources, consulting the Catholic faith community, and personal reflection as well as conversation with their peers. The Living in Christ curriculum offers carefully crafted the lessons for teachers, based on the key principles of Understanding by Design, to guide the students’ understanding of key concepts. In addition, Living in Christ offers an innovative, fully digital, online learning environment featuring flexible and customizable resources to enrich and empower the teacher to respond to the diverse learning needs of the students. Yhe high school curriculum offers a choice of delivery options to accommodate your budget: Standard full-color text or Digital textbook delivery

Thank you for the offerings of these student texts and teacher guides."

-Mary Hansel Parlin, Cotter High School religion teacher
